Hi Guys
Looking at getting back into 2WD off road. Just placed my order from MB Models for a RC10B4.1 Have you any setup tips with running a Tekin RS Pro. What motor would be a good start as I have not raced off round for some years now. I was looking at a 5.5 Is there any mods or parts that would be recommended. Any help much appreciated Cheers Mark

No way!!!
7.5 max, especially if you start again. I usually run 8.5 on dirt, 7.5 on astro. many people run 9.5 even on astro... |

Thanks flipside that could have been a expensive mistake.
Also pinion wise I only have 64dp what would be a good range of 48dp pinions to get me started. Thanks again. Mark

For a 7.5-9.5 motor is say 23-27. Won't be far off

in relation to the crystal clear gear cover; i spoke to team associated and they said that it will use the same part number as the "clear" gear cover (7461).
the crystal clear covers will only become available when the clear ones are sold (which could take months).

People may already know this but the new B4.1 rear toe blocks refer to toe for each rear wheel, i.e a 3.0 block has 3 degrees toe in per wheel. This means a 2.5 block with 0.5 hub is 3 deg per wheel, same as old B4.
I thought block was total toe (sum of both rear wheels) until I measured it. |

Hi All,
any suggestions about extra weight to add in the new B4.1 please. In my previous B4 I used 10gr on the servo plus 27gr in the rearward. I supposed to use a weight in the rearward plus 50gr or 80gr under the battery. Are weights useful for indoor track too? thanks |

Noobie
Hi all
Noobie by name and nature, got into the addictive world of rc a couple of months ago, and after a visit to Eden Park Raceway-Winter Warmer last week, decided to sell my 1/10th and 1/8th buggies and invest in this thread model. Thought would be brave and go for a self build as v good way to get to know the car, my main question though, is, what brushless set up would you guys recommend? Will in future be used at EPR so racing in mind. Many Thanks all |
