Use lipo bags kids!...
Tonight as I came off the field onto the carpark I firstly heard a "ptzzzzzzz" sound followed by a suspicious smell. My lipos/cables had caught fire inside the my car!
No idea how it happened, something somehow closed the circuit. Thankfully my Mondeo didn't go up in flames... Lesson learned, put batteries inside bag on their own and not with other things that could somehow make contact with the terminals. PS: There's absolutely no chance that my "exuberant" exit from the field caused it. None at all.... PPS: Dave has pics of the aftermath, thankfully no pics of me in a panic prancing about with a the contents of a lipo bag on fire... |

Yeah, I am glad it didn't happen on the a-road with the window down. I may have not have heard it and the back could have literally caught fire at 70 mph... not good!
