Default Another R/C Robbery

X Factory chief engineer Paul Sinclair was the victim of a robbery sometime this afternoon. Much of his R/C stuff was stolen from the back of his car while it sat in the parking lot of his apartment in Maumee, Ohio, a suburb of Toledo.

The thieves took the two black boxes with which Paul travels to all races, including the latest brand new ProTek charger still in its box, a number of ProTek shorty and saddle battery packs, two boxes full of Viper motors and ESCs, his KO transmitter in a Brian Kinwald tranny bag, all his tools including ProTek and MIP drivers and two torx drivers, an original Unger soldering iron, a cordless Dremel with a box of tools including several 1/8" carbide end mills and tons of X Factory & AE spare parts.

Also taken was a big box of J Concepts tires, wheels, and foam.

Of perhaps greatest importance are two X - 6 Cubed cars. One is chassis # 001 and the other has no number at all -- it's the final production prototype. Needless to say, someone trying to sell #001 would point that feature out; the one with no number is, as far as we know, the only such Cubed chassis now in existence.

Both cars have the special black Viper motors, Viper ESCs, Protek shorty batteries, ProTek servos, KO receivers, Avid slippers, and #001 has a transponder. And, as you might expect from the company's engineer, there are a number of experimental parts on both cars. The cars should be very easy to identify, and the stuff is in many ways unique.

If anyone sees or hears anything about the whereabouts of any of this stuff, please call X Factory 419-887-1787 or E-Mail YoungChazz@gmail.com

Really sorry to hear that Chazz - never nice having your personal things taken especially stuff you can never replace. Just the invasion itself is a nightmare. There are scumbags everywhere.

Sorry to hear about the theft. RC is a relatively small community so I hope you get your stuff back.

I can't understand how these people can live with themselves. I hope they have to deal with much suffering and pain in the near future. I'm reminded of the old joke, I hope their next shits a hedgehog. But as that's unlikely we'll just all have to wish the thieves testicular cancer!

Sorry to hear about that, I'm a bit late suggesting this, but a friend went to call on all the porn shops in the area after he was robbed and caught the thief in the act of selling his stuff.
I really enjoyed watching the tutorial video you and Paul did at Redneck RC on Youtube I found it very helpful and learned alot.

Hope you get some good news soon.

The transponder nr could maybe help tracking a new owner and the guy he got it from? Try contacting my-rcm perhaps: maybe they can alert you when there's a registration with this transponder ID

I just want to clarify that the testicular cancer comment wasn't entirely appropriate and may have been a little stupid as pointed out by Johnboy but let's face it, thieves are scum. They take things that we have worked hard to pay for without a care of the effects on their victims lives. I would like to say instead that I hope the stolen items are recovered and the people responsible are caught and punished accordingly.

Pawn shops maybe? Not that there's anything wrong with porn shops.
