Still not built my 550 as I was waiting on radio gear for it - kindly dropped off the other day by Mike

I built my first quad in a couple of days and it flew great almost straight away.
Granted there was a learning curve ahead of that - but 6 months of liscence payers money!

Where do I apply for a job with the BBC....

To be fair, you don't know their previous history with RC, they may not have done it as a kid. They may also not be very technical, with the BBC being a equal opportunities employer, etc. They also have been through the learning and training process to get their CAA license to fly, which none of us have done, as hobby flyers.

I thought the BBC had been using these for years, on nature programmes, and top gear, etc. I guess the production of some of those programmes is contracted out to camera folk not directly employed by the BBC?

I wonder how soon it be until we get the BBC news reporting on the privacy and safety problem with hobby flying drones, yet they will use the same technology themselves for reporting?
