Default Accidents.

Thought we may as well have a thread for 'mishaps'.

Here is Neal after he 'landed' in a field at RobinHood.

I got myself into a world of shit tonight "showing off" how my quad flys in manual mode over the playground of the YORCC school. Managed to get it upside down and not recover from it!

Three arms and two props done, with a scratch to the bottom plate that will polish out ;-)

Just glad I hit the ground and nothing else.

Neal.

Ouch - that's a bummer mate - you have my sympathy.

I can't fly the Kk2 in manual (self level off) very well. Forgot to turn it on the other day and took off at full speed across the park and put it straight into the ground !

Luckily I was over grass.

Don't think I'll fly over concrete after seeing this. Guess you were lucky it's just arms / props.

Hope you get it sorted ASAP mate - and stick to grass

It's not the tarmac that's the problem - 2 of my 4 "unleash the beast" flights have been in that carpark!
Is it fixed yet? I've not had chance to look at mine after the rainflip at the end of last night, but I'm hoping it was just a bit of water on the board. I feel a trip to Morrisons to buy a snap-on tupaware bowl is in order

Went to a bigger field today in the local park.

One tree in the open - thought i'd fly around it - I was about 100 meters away, thought i'd cleared it and banked and turned - straight into the tree.

Quad undamaged, but lodged in the branches - luckily not too high so I got it out.

Moral of story - stay away from trees!

I need somewhere local to fly with no trees?

My Quad on full throttle must be doing 100M in a couple of seconds - I can only give it full throttle for a split second - unless I just go up - which I find difficult and scary! Can't control or see it well, when it's high up.

The speed of yours is mental Andy!

I was going to upload my crash video from tonight earlier, but fell asleep reading a bedtime story to the daughter. She on the other hand went back down stairs and left me to it!

I've been messing with gain adjustments tonight on mine.

Uploading now...

Had another failure tonight, caught on camera this time.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBA9OcmfWdU

Action from 2:00.

I was adjusting vertical gain and trying to feel the difference. It first flips when I was looking at the tranny, then was taking it easy and flying low, and the flip and crash happened.

Looks like the right front motor spins down before the crash. One broken arm. on investigation afterwards, one of the bullet connectors on motor is loose in the ESC.

I'd just upgraded the software this evening as well to v3.14. Flew perfect for one pack before this.
