Default This is what happens when you land badly on the tripple at Boughton

In the final too. What I should have done was apply the brakes to bring the nose down because I took the jump way too fast to try to get ahead of the 1st car, I was second and this was the first lap.

At least now you don't need to take it apart to check the gear mesh!

X ray bulkheads eh, never broke any rears but loads of fronts. I contacted fibre-lyte and had some carbon fibre braces made and fitted onto the front. Never had a bulkhead break since and we run 3 cars at the same meeting.

Contact him here sales@fibre-lyte.co.uk

They work out at around £6 each considerably cheaper than a new bulkhead. He should still have my drawing on file so it is easy for them to make them for you.

Might fit my spares on the rear now after seeing this.

Steve

Thanks Steve. Where do the carbon braces sit? I do have metal shock tower braces, for both front and the rear you can see the rear in the picture. But I guess something has to give, if the rear bulkhead did not break nor the tower it probably would have been the wing stay. I have a spare wing stay as I heard people break those.

That said, this car is ballistic and seems pretty strong everywhere else, it is certainly capable of winning, if only the driver was! I am only now about 0.5 laps off the pace at least at this event with this car. I used to be 2 laps off.

Cheers
Simon

On the front it fits like this Simon, never had a problem with the rear, so not looked at fitting one there.

Thanks Lee. It was great to meet you and Callum. I watched Callum's final - he was ballistic, I don't think he made a mistake! that must have been 11 laps.

Hats to Barry and his dad, the track was awesome, I really enjoyed the w/end and good to see some East of England racers participate in this event.

Cheers
Simon
