Default Interference? Know problem or not?

Regular chaps - are there any known problems with interference at Southport?

Had a bit of a nightmare at the oOple weekend with glitch's - swopped receivers and rewired the car - no joy. Never had problems before - ever. Running Sanwa Super Exes.

Jim Dixon replied to my thread in 'Electronics' saying he had a similar problem - also I saw a few cars out of control and heard a few people were suffering at the weekend.

Hi Andy,
The only know problems at Southport where in the old days and some old metal caravans in the park nextdoor and 27/40mhz radios.
There is nothing underneath apart from old rusty pegs and plastic mesh when we had grass.
A guess( by reading your other thread on this) could be you speedo not providing enough power to the Rx and if you have not got a built in failsafe it could be on throttle/last known input, and not brakes or neutral.
I had a home made alu chassis a few year back and that caused me a problem on that day until i bent it

Default Interference

I know 2 locals had problems aswell over the weekend they both had problems just before they got onto the concrete they have never had problems before. They were using frsky conversions they put it down that, maybe something southport can look in to .

Chris's car had a burnt out fan which in turn damaged the receiver.
Paul has had his trouble since the conversion (even at other tracks).
The only other 2.4 problems I have seen is incompatibility with spectrum systems. Maybe we should go back to 40meg
