Default Farther & son car share?

I would like to come on friday with my son as he has been begging me to take him, however i just wanted to check that it would be ok to share the same car/pt etc?

Just want to make sure he wants to continue before i invest in a full kit for him.

Cheers,
gav.

Hi Gav, Sharing a car is no problem. I assume you want both entrants to have a full race night ie:- 4 races each.
If that is the case you can do one of two things :-

1) Change the Transponder between heats.

2) Just unplug the transponder for one of the heats so it does not count for one of the entrants.

If you book into separate heats surely it would be fine on the same PT?
obviously the name on the sheets would be the same.

What happens to people who run to classes on the same PT?

It clashes having the same PT number in BBK I think Matt, the system and software was designed on the basis that each transponder had it's own unique ID.

Then people like MRT came along and offered clones etc, I know it works in the free software available but you have to enter a unique name such as 'Matt Coleman' and then 'Matt Coleman Truggy'.

If you're on the track with the BBK software in a race you're not meant to be in it'll detect your transponder and bring it up highlighted in red with your name, possibly so you can announce it and call out that driver I don't know exactly.

Might be wrong in saying this but as far as I'm aware BBK uses you transponder ID number as your 'unique' code in the system, the cheap or free software uses your name as your 'unique' part.
