Soldering
Im back to it after 30 years, was never great at soldering and was dreading it as i know everything is soldered and its a useful skill to have in emergency repairs. I purchased the below from ebay to practice with and it doe a great job, image attached of battery connectors, motor and ESC are the same quality which I think is fairly good, certainly won't break off in one of my many anticipated crashes.

I'm going to invest in one as my charger has a DC output of 100w which will run this nicely. https://www.modelsport.co.uk/index.p...SABEgIVGvD_BwE Lee

I went for this as the core rc 100w iron I had was a joke. This is so much better and half the price

That's interesting, the 60w £14.99 one I saw being used track side worked a treat.

The whole thing glowed white hot and fried everything it touched. Much better having a temp control

The core rc iron works well. I've been using one for over a year now without issues. Just dont power it with more than 12 volts.
