Default FORCC Triple Crown - Rd 3 - 10th February

Right lads and lasses - Rd 3 of the most prestigious and hard fought South Eastern series is looming fast!!

There are, for you lucky people, a few spaces left in 4WD - not many mind you.

So spread the word - let's get the last 2012/13 round full to capacity and end the series on a high!

O yes your last time this winter to race on one bloody big track.
A little bird tells me that race control may well be moved out of the main hall for this meeting meaning Mr Crew will have the whole 35m buy 18m hall to play with, thats going to be one big layout boys and girls.

So if you are not booked in get a move on as you do not want to miss this one trust me.

Regards Alan

Hello,

This is an automated email from the Faversham Off-Road Car Club.

...

PLEASE NOTE: PARKING ARRANGEMENTS ARE SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT FROM ROUNDS 1 AND 2. (See Below)

We will also be building the track Saturday evening so we won't need as much help on Sunday morning but we still need help packing away and in particularly we are asking for a few volunteers to go the extra mile to help unload the van back into Alan's garage after everyone else has gone home... Many hands make light work and all that ;-)

...

Thank you for entering into the FORCC 2012 'Triple Crown' Winter Series

Please check the details supplied in this email. If anything is incorrect, email forcc@idnet.com to get them changed (as soon as possible please). Due to a bug in the race software, this email does not contain your ability grading but it has been entered into the system and used to grade the heats.

IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO MAKE ROUND 3 PLEASE LET US KNOW ASAP. We have a list of reserve drivers waiting to take your place. Provided we fill your space, your race fee will be refunded if you let us know you can't make it.

If your race fees are unpaid, please email forcc@idnet.com to request an invoice if you would like to pay via PayPal. If you need to pay with cash, please do so at the next available club meeting.
As a last resort, you will be able to pay on the day.

This email is confirmation of your entry into Round 3 only.

Round 1 - 14/10/12
Round 2 - 09/12/12
Round 3 - 10/02/13

Best 2 out of 3 rounds to count towards your championship result.

Provisional heat listings will be published a few days before the event.

Race day schedule:

07:00 Doors open for Drivers (06:30 for those helping to setup).
Drivers to book in upon arrival and NO LATER THAN 08:00
Please.

08:30 Heat 1 practice (We will start earlier if we are ready)

Each driver will get 1 round of practice, 4 rounds of FTD qualifying
and 2 Finals (3 for the A)

We're aiming to have finished racing by about 17:00 with the hall
vacated by 18:00.

Control Tyres:

4WD: Schumacher Yellow mini spikes or mini pins front and rear.
2WD: Schumacher Yellow mini spikes or mini pins rear. Free
choice of front tyre.
2WD SCT: Free choice front and rear tyres.

Venue:

Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School
Abbey Place
Faversham
Kent
ME13 7BQ

Please be aware that you will need to provide your own pitting
tables and chairs. We also recommend that you bring a
reasonable length power extension lead if you have one. NO FAN
HEATERS!!!

Catering:

Once again, Deb and Lisa will be volunteering their services and
providing munchies and drinks. In addition they will also be
providing a selection of freshly made Baps!

Parking:

Due to building work at the school, we cannot get access to the
parking at the rear of the hall. There is no access to parking via
the road that runs down the left hand side of the school grounds.
As a result we will all have to park in car parks at the front of the
school and walk to the hall. We apologise for the inconvenience
but this is obviously out of our control.

So the final round of the Triple Crown

So the 4wd is wrapped up by Ed Kerry

2wd is wide open, who's your money on? A certain Mr Bloomfield could spoil the party!

SC showdown between Andy J and Martin H

It's going to be a cracking meeting!

What a great days racing and a superb end to the Triple Crown, fantastic track and great atmosphere.

Track was super fast and technical, just what the doctor ordered! Heard so many people in the pits loving the track, all of them have been great.

Roll on the next series, if you haven't been to Forcc get yourself along!

+1 Mark. Amazing series, huge thanks to everyone! Today I must say a huge thanks firstly to Dave Andrews for the loan of the truck, you were a brave man letting me loose with it especially after what I did to mine! lol. But again thanks! And Andy Johnson for taking it to the last round decider! good skills mate!

You're very welcome Martin. And if it had been Andy who'd snapped his truck I'd have loaned it to him as well - was great to see you 2 battling it out to the end. I'll be in the mix next year!

Just want to say a massive thanks to all those that have contributed to organising such a great series. I don't think many (me included) really know just how much goes into organising and running such an event.

Alan has spent a stupid amount of time oganising this event - so a massive thanks to him, and also to Ness, Kyle and Jodie who have no doubt had to put up with a very stressed Alan at times.

Jon has done a superb job with the championship and all things electrical and technical.

Dave C has been track designer per excellence. I haven't heard a bad word about any features that he's thrown in - and all tracks have been very fast, techinal, but more importantly - racy.

But to all those that have contributed in some way - be it our ilustrious tea ladies, Craig for the banners (and my new hoodie!), Nick for transport, Ralls Racing and Xtreme for spares, and all those that there isn't time to mention on here right now (I'm at work lol) I just want to say thank you for such an enjoyable, professional, and friendly event.

And also a huge thanks to everyone who came and raced - without you it just wouldn't have been the success that it was. Spread the word and the 2013/14 series will be even more prestigious.

Lastly - well done to all the winners. Hope you'll be back next year to defend your crowns!!
