I think the 3gr is 2.4 ghz only. I have one, and it works flawlesly, but lacks ergonomic adaptability. No spring tension adjustment, no angle adjustment for the sticks...awkward menu operation... It's been around for a while.

Receivers are pricey, and given the 4grs is out now i think it makes no sense to get a 3gr unless you're already invested in the 603 fasst receivers. If you wanna go futaba 2.4 ghz sticks, get a 4grs instead of a 3gr.

Cheers
Chris

3VC all the way, there is a big difference in quality between the two when in your hands. Features and spec are about the same.

3VC every time, I have had a trusty 3VC for racing for about 12+ years?? used it on everything from £3k+ 1/5th scale touring cars to bikes and now micros.

Im now running it with a FRsky conversion to 2.4 and its faultless

they are also silly cheap used, I bought a spare through ebay recently for £40

sure I saw some on this forum for 70 or 80 quid recently

does everything you could ever need and does it well.
