Default gearing

ive been running my durango on carpet with foams im gearing it 23 to kit spur and the motor seems to be getin very hot . at one point the chassis was 100c and the the motor 213c . running lrp sxx tc and 6.5 x12 . my speedo settings are 1.3.2.2 . is it gearing or shall i turn the speedo down .

Hi.
Sounds way too high to me.

I reckon you need to be on a 20 or 21 on a 6.5 X12 type motor. I used to run 21 outdoors on the DEX 410 with long straights. So I'd try a 20 to start with.

The X12 does tend to get very hot when running.

Do you mean 100F and 213F. If it was 100C and 213C, I'm suprised the motor was running?
