Default Car cutting out.

I am currently running a DEX210 with speed passion 10.5t motor and a speed passion cirtix stock club esc.
I have recently started having a problem with the car cutting out after about 5 mins running. I can then turn car off and back on straight away and it will run fine for about another 5 mins. Battery fully charged, gearing is 81/27, No excessive heat from motor or esc.

Any help or advice gratefully received

Your batter can't be fully charged after a 5 min run

Check your voltage cut off

Depending on state of ur lipo's if old it could be the voltage cutoff as if set to 6v( or 3v per cell) it could be under load ur going lower then that voltage that's y it works after switching it off and on

Even with good lipo's if the load is still high racing 13.5 boosted I got my voltage down to 5.7v ( recorded by esc) but lipo on the bench unloaded out of the car after a 5 min run I had 7.7-7.9 v

Speed passion esc are great but I had to run lipo cut/off off to have a trouble free 5 min race
But if ur just racing in the woods street car parks u need lipo cut/off on unless u keep an eye on the voltage as u can easily kill a lipo

Also If your using sub c cells pack the voltage drop is greater then that of a lipo also

Hope this helps

I think you are pushing it with the ESC. 10.5 geared like that and run in a buggy is a lot of load and it is a very basic model. It may not seem hot on the outside but it may be triggering a thermal cut on the inside.

I ran the same ESC and had the same problems in a sc truck...as above I think they thermal internally
try dropping the pinion by 1 or 2 teeth to prove this

Thanks for all the suggestions, but it looks like it was down to cooling issues. Had a different layout of the electrics with the esc in a different position and also along with the fact I seem to be getting quicker with the new version 2 of the dex210. So after a few body mods ie cooling holes it seems to have done the trick
