Back in RC racing, New to Ansmann
Hi Guy's, my name is Appie, and coming back into rcracing after some 15-20years! So you will understand that this oldy (58y) could use some tips about rc.
To start I bought a Madrat brushless RTR, not to expensive! Could you give me some advice what parts I have to reinforce, not to difficult for me, I have the tools to make what I need! Further the included esc is just 60A, will this be good enough? And what lipo do I need for joining races, are these 5 or 10 min? What brushless motors can I use with this 60A esc? Well Guy's, thanks for your support so far, maybe I need some more advice, this because it has been awhile! (sorry for my broken English)..........Appie53. |

Welcome back and welcome to oople
You will definately need some bearings for the hubs etc; http://www.rcbearings.co.uk/index.ph...product_id=590 Battery wise a 2S (7.4v) lipo is all you need. Stick configuration and hard cased for the rat, all of the suppliers sell them aswell as ebay etc. Giantcod is good also but they are out of stock . You'll need a lipo charger too if you dont have one, the one below is recommended http://www.modelsport.co.uk/core-rc-...roducts/365880 Other than that not much to be honest. An upgraded idler gear will probably be needed as will some ceramic diff balls but these are fairly cheap. Spares wise, front and rear hubs and maybe a spare chassis plate but other than that should be fine. These guys on ebay sell the parts seperately and are top notch http://stores.ebay.co.uk/JK-RC-uk/An...=p4634.c0.m322 |

Definately a bearing set as these are only a tenner, depending in the surface then tyres, for a 5 minute race I run a 3200mah lipo and that has new than enough power, in my 60a esc I run a 8.5 turn brushless and it powers that perfectly, depending on how cold it is I would carry a spare frot chassis plate as these become very brittle in the cold apart from that you should be all set for racing
