Also thanks to stu, Roger and everyone who ran the day, it was a great introduction to the hobby for me.

Great to know that you won the raffle ! If you need any help with the car or electronics don't hesitate to ask us in the kyosho forum.

That pred was mine, bearing in mind how hard it got hit there is only the chassis broke, none of the links are bent or wishbones broke.

Might of been nice if the person who landed on the straight infront of me had apologised but that's how these things go.

Apart from that I really enjoyed the day and I'm going to try and get down again.

The Pred felt ace on that surface - really suited it - generating lods of grip & traction on very worn spikes. The only bit where it was not spot-on was the rumble section just after the big table-top.

When I ran the XX-4 in round 4 and the final it felt safe (could nail the rumble strip) but dead - the lap-times were slower - but only just (and it didn't sound like a dyson-on-acid down the straight).

I dont think the straight would be as long by a fair way, but it sounds like maybe a good idea to try, just because it's possible. I have to say though I did like the long and norrow-ish layout a lot. The above sounds like a Worksop proportioned track - would it end up as a Worksop clone?

If I'd not had to spend so long fixing the combination of rusty thumbs and knackered old car I'd have attempted more photos - as it was I was lucky to get a few usable ones during the 4WD 'A'.

Will be better prepared next time!
