Default 6 or 7 minute races?

Hi all,

It's pretty clear that cars will last way over 10 minutes a run - would racers like to see 6 or 7 minute heats and finals?

Suggestions please for pro's and con's?, good or bad?

Neil

I like the idea but it will mean that batteries, motors and speedo's will have to run at a high temperature for longer and increase the chance of failure.
Not good if you're on a budget

Actually, something else has occured to me.
How about 10 minute races but with two car teams and a change over at 5 minutes.
One goes in the pits, another comes out

If your temps haven't stabilised after 5 mins, you''ve quite possibly got mite significant things to worry about!

We ran 7 min finals at Herts, on Tuesday club nights. I don't think anyone saw any major issues. The only issue could be the extended charge up time, when running 7 min heats.
