The first batch is hoping to be leaving the states at the end of next week, all being well should reach us by the 10th or so of February if customs play ball and give it a smooth passage through the system.

Full spec WILL be announce any day, the flyer is all written but we are just waiting for the final few pieces of the jigsaw to come together and the full press release will be made.

Over two thirds of the first batch is now already pre-sold to customers and our network of UK dealers, second batch will hopefully be less then two weeks behind the first in its despatch to us.

Price is almost finalised, expect it to be pretty much smack in between the current price of the existing X6 and the new X60 truck kit.

Some spares for the new car are already being packaged up and getting ready for despatch to us.

The current stock of the very last batch of existing X6's will be on special offer through us and all of our dealers when the new car is shipped for anyone who fancies a car that is still really fast and dialled to the track but will now be available for that little bit cheaper.

More news to come VERY soon on the "X6 Squared"

Nope. There are too many new parts. Almost every part is new.

The K019 X - 6 Squared Conversion Kit converts an AE B4 to an X - 6 Squared. If you have an X - 6 and want to convert it to X - 6 Squared, the K019 will accomplish that too.

There will be no Upgrade Kit to move the original 6 to Squared because, as Dad says, there are too many parts involved, and they are all the expensive ones. There would be no significant price difference between the Upgrade Kit and the K019 Conversion Kit.

When the 4-Gear transission came out, we made Upgrade Kits because you could spend just $49.99 and turn your 3-gear into a 4-Gear. A lot of people wanted the new chassis so they didn't have to drill their old one, but that Kit was still just $99.99, a little more than half the price of a new K011 Conversion Kit.

I want one sooooo badly, but as I've still not got round to converting the 3-gear I bought from a fellow oOple-ist into a 4-gear yet (I've got all the bits from DMS, just no time) I guess it'll have to wait. I think I'm gonna have to run mine with the only speedo and motor I've got spare at the moment, A-finals watch out, here come a Tamiya TEU-101BK and Sport Tuned motor

I see that the chassis has the indents for the two forward cells still. With the new brace how would you fasten or secure the forward mounted cells?

Obviously design is shifting toward the Lipo optimisation now.

Dan - we offer a "cells" battery strap separate from the kit - part #1224. The strap was released with the X - 60 truck.

You're right though - the X - 60 and X - 6 Squared were definitely designed around Lipo first, cells second, and by all appearances that seems to be the right way to go.

So close now we can taste it. Hope to ship the distributors Tuesday Feb 10.

Can anybody guess what is the delay now? Let's all say it together: CF battery straps. Just like the truck, LOL.

We'll be at the shop all weekend packaging parts bags.

Sure will fit. Only extra item you'll need is the rear pivot pin bushes that fit in the chassis.
Of course the wishbone, rear tower and all other 'squared' items would be a great upgrade at the same time too.

It's funny, I just realised I'd missed that while sitting watching American Idol.

And you must have the original AE servo mounts. Wife sez I never throw anything away, and now I know why. They're around here somewhere...

Phil, you're supposed to be gazing lovingly at your new wife, not watching sex pots on American TV. Not a good way to start off the new llife together, now, is it?

LOL
