I agree, Adam has been very patient.

Lets face it, its been since 2001 that the first results for this car appeared - perhaps a couple more days wont hurt!!

I am comforted by the fact that they have waited to perfect as much as they can before getting the kits out.

I am sure the wait will be well worth it.

Cheers

Darryn

Hi Adam,

Just one main question.

Wheels & tires does the kit come with any?

Just want to double check what wheel fittings does it come with?
Hex fitting or pins fittings like the CAT SX does?

Do we require anything else?

Also the diff oils of chance what weight is mainly being used & what weight comes in the kits?

Just so got everything i need so i can build the kit up when they are available buddy.

Thanks

Hi,
The kit comes with wheels (DEX 410) White.
No tyres - No point, we don't know what surface your running on

Fitment:
I've run so far:
HB rear (After mounting the HB Hex)
HB front (See earlier post)
B4/B44 Rear
B44 front (Check Offset)
Losi front (Offset is OK)
Schumacher Rear.

To be honest, the DEX wheels are the best. They also Acetone really well. They don't seem to alter in stiffness after repeated Acetone-ing, and they seem to stay nice and white.

At the moment I'm using 10,000 in the front and 3,000 in the rear.

Please add a new topic to the forum if the post is not related to the topic header. It keeps the forum easy to find answers to questions.

Set-up sheet is done (In English). We'll try and have it posted today if not tomorrow. I'll do one anyway and post it on here, it's where I'm at at the moment, which seems to be a good starting point.

Default Arrival!

Mine arrived just over an hour ago.

Man - seriously nice bit of kit - EXTREMELY well presented.

Couple of interesting intial observations:

a) Made in Taiwan.

b) Parts quality is absolutely OUTSATNDING. Reminds me very much of X-Ray in terms of alloy and material quality. VERY impressive.

c) In reference to the question above - the front wheel off-set appears to be the same as the B44/CAT etc. Will be easier to tell once the car is built.

d) Manual is small and very well laid out - something that can be kept in the pit box for reference without taking up alot of room.

e) Did I mention that the parts quality is outstanding?

I ordered the optional spring set, brass weights and some spares. Spares pricing is VERY good - comparable with any car out there - in fact in alot of cases, the Durango parts are priced better.

Spring set is huge - 8 different pairs (meaning - 8 pairs of fronts and 8 pairs of rears!!!).....sucky thing is that there is no reference to their poundage anywhere! I am sure that will come out soon though. Those brass weights are worth buying just to look at- really very nice indeed.

I suppose any new car is going to give you that "warm all over" glow, however with this kit you definately get the strong feeling that the extra dollars you spent on it are VERY MUCH worth it.

Sadly I wont be able to start building mine until next Monday - as I start 12 hour nightshifts with work tonight!

If you have been "thinking" about gettng a Durango - DONT hesitate - you will not be dissapointed in any way.

Cheers guys,

Darryn Johnson

Just checked the wheels from the kit and put them onto my B44 - same offset - so B44 wheels will work!! yay!

Have to say though - the standard Durango wheels do indeed look very nice and solid. I particualarly like the raised section around the nut. I think these wheels will find favour with other cars as well.

Cheers

Darryn

Mine got here not long ago too.

Although I'm stuck at work so I can't do much more than look at the sealed box.

Try living in the U.S.! All we get is Losi, AE, and Traxxas, and NEVER get the good stuff unless we order from, Europe, where you guys already have the good stuff.

Venom Racing is the distributor for Australia, can't see why they can't do it for America aswell
