That's really very good, quite amazing being in the pilot/drivers seat..!
Just two points.....how did you find an empty car park..and you will be aware that there is a proposal to ban drones..!

It's the top floor of a multistorey, if there was even a single car there wouldn't be doing it, fully informed the personnel.

Currently lots of proposals on the table, I think flying maybe restricted to approved areas, hence starting at RHR in a controlled, professional, well proven site. It's one of those how on earth would you police it though given there are so many of them.

I suspect stricter rules from CAA first and the rest to follow, long range FPV is the real issue, the guidelines in place already may make it into law..

Long range FPV has always been against the law!

Fair point.. Call it medium range then - on the verge of line of sight, quad racing where it's not too far away eg through a wood where you can't quite see it and its debatable whether you have a spotter or not, be a shame to see that stopped.

I dont think its anything to worry about just yet, the flurry of media reports and interest in mounting cameras on things that fly are because of the very few irresponsible guys who do really silly things. most hobbyists who have a genuine intrest are typically well supported by UK law and regulation. (amateur radio is a good example of that)

As long as people show a good knowledge of safety and respect others right to privacy, then i think there is nothing really to be concerned about.

I am mostly worried about the "not in my back yard crowd" who will come over and bother you when you are flying, that's why i stay out of parks and open spaces near built up areas.

P.s. I forgot to say nice video, pretty jealous of your setup!!

My setup for the video was a go pro on a 3 axis gimbal, none of that gear was mine besides the car

In terms of quads I have a tbs disco pro and a tbs gemini both on fpv and groundstation, going to rustle up a 250 as in the vids though as the gemini is a bit racey!
