Lrp SXX or Speed Passion in 2wd
Going to use in a Cougar SV and on dirt tracks. What ESC do you recommend? Heard something like the SP has got more "smooth" setting to choose from than the SXX.
And what version is the best for me? LPF or Pro? Using together with a Novak Ballistic 8.5T. |

Speed Passion as I had problems with my LRP Sphere TC.
If you are leaving it in the Cougar and only running an 8.5, what about the SP LPF? |

My opinion is that the SP has a much more linear feel to it, when i used the SXX i always used the expo on the radio but with the SP i dont because its more easy to drive it smooth without it, with my SXX my motor temp was about 60-70C with SP 40-45C same gearing and wind on motor,
Another great feature with the SP is that you can change the firmware with the USB programming card so its safe for the future The LPF will work in a 2WD maybe in 4WD to but i would go for the PRO its not that much o a difference in price

Which is how I feel with regards to the Tekin Vs Speed Passion.
What's your budget? I'm going to moving from a Tekin RS Pro to a Speed Passion LPF for my Cougar SV and then will decide if I get rid of my second Tekin RS Pro in my Cat SX for a GT |

The SP LPF will do yu just fine! I've run the old LPF with a 5.5 in 4WD and never had trouble and the new ones are brilliant with the updateable software. With an 8.5T the speedo will stay stone cold even in a car with an undertray, so get the small one. You will have no noticeable advantage with the bigger one.

SP Pro with SP V3 7.5 in X6 squared
I have just changed from a Novak GTB to the Speed Passion Pro the footprint is not the smallest on the market, but I find it really driveable in the 2wd X6 squared but have had to gear higher with the 7.5 V3 speed passion. The adjustment is very easy using the smart ESC program unit and can be done at the trackside with no problems in trying to count bleep or flashing lights with backgroung noise going on.
All in all very pleased with the unit, but still early dates. |

Thanks all!
Budget is no issue. Have a SXX tc spec on its way home but by the looks of thing it will be installed in the Cat then. When running on slippery tracks it seems like the Sp is the choice. Just bringing out the Visa one more time. |
