I'll have to wait until I'm back home as currently working in Spain. Thanks for the quick response though.
Hopefully in time and with more people using Viper this thread can become a sticky like the Tekin one is. I'm certainly looking forward to see who will be selling Viper products in the UK and Europe.

Don't know what the sticky rules are.....or who to contact?

We have several different dealers who contacted us and some purchased product already so be on the look out, I will announce it once I know.

Congrats to Lee for his second place finishes at Round 2 of the BRCA National series. I hear he had quite a dual with Neil in 4wd - can't wait til a report is published to see the race!!!!!

As for a 4wd set up - must drivers use Profile 2, only changes may be to Throttle Freq - between 9600 and 12000 (depending on the feel you like) and Punch - depending on your traction. Set your brakes to your liking, and go for the win!!!!!

Default Viper system wont work :-(

Hi. Just come back from my weekly club meet and not very happy.

I'm running a TLR 22 fitted with Viper ESC and sensored 7.5t motor. On heat 2 the car started to run really slow half way through and then after my stint of marshalling, i took the car back to the table, powered it up and it wouldn't run. It powers up and the lights all flash as they should and I re-calibrated the controller, but the motor still didnt turn unless i turned the back wheels, then it ran but at a slower pace. Once i let go of the trigger, it stopped and wouldnt turn again unless i moved the wheels again.
I recharged my saddle pack, but still didnt help.
I connected the programme card and loaded up a new profile, but still nothing unless i start the wheels moving myself, and then only at less than half speed (if that!!).
My charger didnt say anything was wrong with the batteries so am i using the programme card wrong or something?
When i pull the throttle, the LEDs change as they should so i know the radio is working.
Can anyone help please??

Sorry Jimbo, I was traveling and didn't see your post, I responded on the other thread, sounds like motor related. Bad motor, sensor or wire. Try another motor if you have one,

What's happening about a 1/8th buggy / truggy motor range? Have Viper got something nice in the works?

Huge congratulations to Lee Martin for winning the latest round of the BRCA National series in 2wd. A Main in 4wd with some other types of difficulties.

Pretty quiet in here -- Lee is showing the speedos to be some one of the fastest on both sides of the pond. VTX8's are running circles around competition in 1/8 and 1/10 SC here in the US.

What more can you tell you or show you about these great products!!!!

Hi Nick,

Just some feedback with regards to Eben. As planned he is currently in Switzerland. Had bad luck with weather and missed first two races.

The past weekend first International experience (French National Champs), against the likes of Renaud Savoya, Yannick Aigoin, Lorenzo Crolla, Antoine Rossetti to name a few.

Was great experience. Biggest adaption I think is the schedule and "speed" with which things were happening. In SA we have the Sunday, Thursday and Friday to practice with Qualifiers on Saturday and finals on Sunday.

In this race no practice, scheduled practice on Saturday morning for 2 and half hours and then straight into 3 qualifiers and the 1 qualifier on Sunday morning and then 3 finals.

End of Saturday he managed qualifying 5th in 2wd and 13th in 4wd. Had some bad luck in 4wd with collapsed bearing etc and believe that he can do much better. Lap times showed that and was positive with one qualifier for the next morning.

Unfortunately weather did not play with and all racing cancelled for Sunday. It was very disappointing because just got used to schedule, track conditions and the pace of the front runners. Would have been great to have an opportunity in the finals.

We are very excited about the results taking into consideration, first time International experience, no support structure (mechanic), schedule and the language barrier.

It was great experience and looking now looking forward to the Kampenhout Belguim GP where approximately 80 drivers per class is expected. Going to be complete new experience as he has never raced on Astro.

Just want to mention Antoine Rossetti and say thanks for the effort that he put in to make it possible to attend and all the help during the event. Without him it would not have been possible.

Viper performed flawless!

Buks,

Thank you very much for the information, I had seen the top results from the event, but not the top 5 -- that is a very good result, especially with the circumstances. Very nice to hear, congratulations.

I look forward to hearing more about his success in Europe -- please keep me in the loop for what events he is attending and when.

What is the voltage output for the fan supply on the VTX10R BE? I think it would be 5vdc but not sure as the BEC voltage is higher.

I'm not sure about Reptile RC, he is Nas on oOple but I did see that he was selling some new VTX8 in the trade section.
It may be worth emailing Lee Martin/LM Racing as he is using them so he may start to import them as well as the VTX10R units.
