Lee Martin sells the VTX10R speed controllers at a very reasonable price, shame no one has picked up the VTX1 unit yet in the UK because it's a fantastic 1S speedo.

Default Viper vtx10 R

Hi

I have a viper vtx10 R and a viper motor 6.5 t which have worked fine for around 2 years. The problem I now have is when plugged In and switched on I get steering but as soon as I use the throttle the esc just resets and I get no drive.

I have tried everything I can think of as in changed the sensor wire, re calibrated, re loaded profile and I even completely re wired the esc and still the same problem.

Any ideas?

My apologies for not checking in recently. CML is in the process of starting to stock our products for distribution in UK and France.

Benjy - from your description it seems if the CPU unit has failed. If the item is 2 years old, its outside of warranty. But we do a trade in program which could get you a reduced price on a replacement. Check out details at www.viper-rc.com/tradein.php. Does not have to be same unit, could be different, if you want.

Plasmag - if it meets warranty requirements (original owner, less than one year from purchase with receipt, and no physical damage or modifications to the unit) you can send it in for warranty service. If it does not apply, as mention above trade in program is an option.

Also wanted to note from a page back - don't believe Reptile R/C is in business any more - they only ordered from us one (maybe two) times. You can still get Viper products through Lee's site at LMR!!!

Strong runs for Lee Martin's Viper powered Yokomo to finish second in 2 of the 3 rounds of qualifying at the European Championships in Sweden.

Also wanted to note that Viper R/C products are now available through CML Distributing both in the UK and France. Please check with CML or have your hobby shop check for pricing and availability.

Recently picked up a Viper 6.5T motor and the shaft has 1mm play in it. Is this normal for the Viper motors? Should I try and shim it?
