Default Anymore outdoor?

I know last week was the last scheduled outdoor but couldn't make it sadly. Any chance of racing next Sunday? Weather is looking good

I believe Rog was declaring us 'out of there' as of this weekend. He's going along to collect any stuff needs going to Coney Green and then its down to the council.
I expect it will be fenced off fast, but not moved quickly.

Ah I didn't know they were starting so soon. What's going to happen then? Are we going to get a new spot to build our own track?

On racing this weekend would any1 be up for a convoy over to batley or somewhere? I'll ask on their forum to make sure if they are racing.

Track relocation is 'in process'. Thats about all I can say really.
In theory come the summer season we should have a new track courtesy of Bury Council, almost certainly elsewhere in Goshen park.
Where exactly, and what it will look like more difficult issues. Johnny seems to want 20ft high doubles with fire pits in between....

As a backup plan however we have hoses for track markers etc - if the new tracks not ready come summer we'll race on the grass old school style. But we WILL be racing, Somehow.

Fair enough. The keighley / batley solution of fixed obstacles and straight (plus fire pit for johnny) joined with hose pipe would be ok for me. Grass tracking is good fun.

Still think a bury convoy to another club this Sunday would be fun.

Chris the committee are currently discussing the exact format. It's looking like a fun mutli-final format and it will be both 2WD and 4WD, rather than just 4WD. Whatever, it is definitely on and we usually start booking in at 10:00. No prebooking is available, or necessary.

Exact details to be confirmed in the next few days. It will be posted on the home page of the website www.srcc.co.uk

Definitely racing at Batley on Sunday if this weather continues - will put something on the forum Sunday morning if we are not able to run because of poor weather.

We will continue to race throughout the winter (with the exception of Chadderton race dates) whilst the weather is favourable.

Default Meeting definitely on at Batley today

Meeting is definitely on today - should get 4 rounds and a final before it starts to get cooler.

10 am for track set up and practice - racing at 11 am - should end at about 3 to 3.30 pm

Race fees:

£5 for members
£7 non-members
£3 under 13s

Should get a good turn-out today - good response from drivers

Dianne
