Default RB5 Motor suggestion

Hello All

What would you recommend to use on a 2WD. i'm currently using a 6.5T motor which i have to trim to 70% EPA to be able to drive easily. and throtle curve to -40%

Should i choose a lower turn 7.5T?

Thanks

Regards
Calvin

Well it depends on your ability. But I run an 8.5t Orion (equivalent to some low end 7.5t motors) and then add a bit of turbo on the Esc for straight line speed.
The Orion is lovely and smooth when you get the settings nicely balanced.

Try dropping down and see how you get on. It's improved thing for me.

Also I wouldn't alter the throttle curve as you loose the linear feel of the control

As above an Orion 8.5 is still a quick motor.

Ive been using an 8.5 for the past few months and my results have improved as its less of a handfull..

If your looking at other brands, I would go 7.5 as there is quite a difference between brands..

I think a 7.5 is always a good choice for 2wd.
In very few cases use an 8.5 like a very small track or low grip.
In few cases a 6.5 is good but i think you already realised that its not the best motor for all conditions.

yeah, 6.5 is overkill + track is not very grippy.

Thanks for the advice.
