I would like to attend for the first time this year and bring my boy along.

Do the cars have to be box standard? I have a kind of astute/madcap hybrid monster I would like to race and a Boomerang with Bigwig front suspension.

How modified is acceptable?

Thanks,

The Boomerang with bigwig front suspension is fine as i ran that exact spec car last year
The astute will probably be ok as well but i would contact John Weston at john@iconicrc.com just to be sure

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to get some information ahead of the revival meeting end of July.

I have not raced at an event for many years, back in the day I had a rather large 12v battery which I would use to charge packs between races. I have just ordered two sets of LIPO for the event and assume I will need to charge these? Is this correct and is there power on site or do I charge from the car battery?

It’s been a bit of a journey to get to this point where I am actually going to be racing a car I longed to own and race many years ago when I was 15 and my racing was unfortunately cut short. I don’t care if I am last in every race but want to make sure I have the best possible chance of getting the car around and to have fun.

I will have two complete cars and a few spares. I think I am more worried about hitting someone else’s car and breaking something than breaking mine.

Thanks

Jamie

You can still do the 12v car battery (I always do) as long as you have a suitable charger. Alternatively you could take a generator and charge off that.

Jamie

Everyone at revival is super helpful. If you need anything people will be more than happy to help you out.

If you are struggling to get your lipos charged I'll be more than happy to help. We will have a few chargers on the go am sure we can do a extra couple.

What car are you racing ?

I use a leisure battery to charge from - I have used my car battery before, but it removes that niggling 'will it start tonight?' thought.

The Revival is a great event - you will definitely have fun.

What are you running?

Hi Guys,

sorry for the slow response, manic weekend.

Wow, you guys are really all helpful thank you. I will be turning up sometime Saturday afternoon just to watch some of the Saturday racing and familiarise myself with the event and how things work. I will say hi and hopefully not ask too many silly questions.

I will be racing a Tomy Intruder on the Sunday. I have just tested the back up car with lipo's (arrived yesterday) and all is good. I'm really worried about the belts but have a faith they will hold together.

I have plans for the actual car I am going to race, another Tomy Intruder but am waiting on some parts. Unfortunately they may not arrive in time but will have another plan for the main car. Either way its the Tomy Intruder for me.

Thanks again.

Jamie
