So out of interest, who is going to be driving for TLR in the UK and also where will they be posting about their progress, results etc, on here or on a FB page?

Didn't think there was much TLR left in the UK to manage.

Hi, to be fair there aren't many 1/10th drivers left on the team, more on the 1/8th side.

However, with the imminent release of the new 22 5.0 2wd buggy we hope to give you as much feedback as possible.

No National drivers this year but several cars will be running at the OOple Series and there will be a fully setup ready to go 22 5.0 car for drivers to try at every round.

Lee will be looking to build the team back up as the year goes on.

Any questions send them my way or PM Pank on here!

Is there any news on the supply of spares in the UK for TLR? Are there any shops that actively support the brand?

Logic RC have informed me that any shop listed on the site can get hold of TLR parts and kits, and service is usually 1/2 days.
If you require any further info give them a ring and they will be happy to help

It should also be noted that Logic RC will be holding stock in the UK.

Stock availability is still very sparse though, items such as simple things like wheels, when we have ordered 30 or 40 sets, only 2 or 3 arrive, the rest get ordered in from Germany. Simple items like shock oils we have been getting just 1 or 2 bottles each time only, which is all they appear to currently stock.

Many key parts have also been "discontinued" (by Horizon Germany, I might add and NOT by Logic) so some common spares and also some key option parts that are still available from TLR are no longer supported by Horizon EU, one good example was the brass front bulkhead for the 22 series, on of if not "the" most popular option parts, but only by special order and a lead time that is very lengthy.....

TLR/Horizon/Logic between them need to help themselves to get the stock levels, supply and support all sorted. Then and only then, we will hope to see an upturn in TLR racers once more and maybe more shops like ours then carrying the kits and parts....

I've never felt the need to run a brass front bulkhead?

So will you not be stocking any 5.0s Darren?

Clearly not what Darren was getting at.

I am relatively new to racing (14 months) and I got a 22 4.0 because I liked it, it was a bit different and I could get parts from my local track/shop. Now the local track/shop no longer stocks TLR stuff sighting supply problems, everywhere else has very limited stock and most of it is supplier stock (1-2 weeks delivery time). I am currently searching through 2/3 websites every time I need to order something.
So my predicament is now that I really like the look of the 22 5.0 and would prefer to stick with TLR but knowing my local shop won't stock it, will other shops/websites have the parts for immediate dispatch, or do i just go for the new schumacher or apparently a new yokomo is on its way.

I really liked the look of the 22 4.0 and have always been a fan of ‘Losi’. The XXX is probably one of my favourite cars! I like the look of the 22 5.0 but the parts issue is a big problem. I currently run a B6.1, it’s a great car no doubt, but the main reason I run it is purely down to parts backup! I’d love to go back to TLR but to buy a new kit not knowing about parts support is a big shame

I can honestly say I have not broken one single part on my 22 4.0, it has done two full seasons indoors and outdoors and if anything the holes in the wishbones have worn out where I move the shocks.

Before anyone asks, some people on this thread might know me and know that I race virtually every weekend unless I'm on holiday!

I don't think that's bad and shows the quality of the car.

my comment about the brass bulkhead was more from the point of view of surprise at it being the most popular spare part?

I realise for a shop to invest in stock for a manufacturer it's a big commitment but it is a quality product, just needs more exposure/backup.

They have looked like good cars I have to say! I’ve had my eye on them since the 3.0 really! I hope somebody does back them, would love to see them become popular again!

To be honest, I've found it quicker to order spares from losi parts house or tower hobbies.

I tried ordering a couple of bulkhead and front shock towers direct from horizon eu. Parts same to around £30. They wanted circa £75 to ship them!!!!
