Default Transmitter FAIL!!!

Was playing around with my B44 at work, and the throttle trigger has snapped clean off on my KO Propo EX-1 Mars R Transmitter I had to repair this before, but its well and truly gone now!!

Anyone know where I can get a part for this, or get it repaired?

If not, what would people recommend as a replacement? I am using a Spektrum Std Module with Spekky receivers at present, which is ace, but will sell my module and original receiver to fund a new handset if need be..

Thanks all.
Mark

I've never liked KO stuff, seen plenty of them fall apart. Would recommend Futaba without a doubt.

Trigger broke on my Futaba 3PK, it's the only trigger that's failed in 25 years
You should be able to get a new trigger, get in contact with the distro (RC Disco) or a decent shop should be able to sort you out - though it'll probably mean you taking the thing apart to replace it which is a pain.
I use the Sanwa M11 myself, it's a big bulky beast but it feels really nice to use. I think RC Disco had some good deals on KO transmitters on their website last time I looked (and some insane deals on KO Servos) so check them out maybe.

You need:

KO-84002 - Throttle Trigger for EX-1 Mars

You can order it from the US but obviously depends how quick you need it :-(

RC Disco had some cracking deals on EX-10s a while back.

I hope this prob you had is a one off as I'm using a KO EX-10

Don't think the Helios trigger is the same part. RC Disco have/had some great deals on KO stock that came across from the old distributor - hence why I'm now running a 40meg Helios! Be worth speaking to Greg as he may have a box of bits that weren't worth putting on the web site if he only had 1 of them at that sort of money.

They still have EX-1s with 2.4G modules, or Helios with 40meg, but no handsets only left, to my knowledge. Since the part is only $3 it seems a bit extreme to replace the handset

I know someone that ordered an OS Speed from that Hong Kong based shop - took a while to arrive, but if Greg doesn't have the part it's got to be the best value option

I had the same problem with my Mars EX-1UR (type R). RC DisCo have the parts in stock, ordered mine direct came next day, fantastic service.
Throttle Trigger KO84006 (£1.99), Brake Trigger KO84007 (£1.99)

With it being a transmitter, I'd get someone to fix it, just in case. If you do try it yourself, treat it in the same way you would a pc, ie, be aware of static that could cause problems. I've had radios in the past that work fine on their own, but not when there are other people running.

Worse case scenario is a new transmitter, and the prices have really come down recently. I've got a Helios which I've had for about 5 years now. Only problems I've had is problems I've caused with the big aerial, and the 2.4 gig aerial (currently held in place with electrical tape as I can't spare the time to get it sent off to be fixed.)

Well took the transmitter apart, and slid the old trigger off. Thanks to Nick, it looks like he got the correct part. I have ordered another transmitter off ebay with no receivers (Spektrum DX3S) for £100, so should be okay

Looks like I can keep going with the Spektrum for now, and sell the Mars should I need to, along with the module and new trigger LOL

Thanks for all your help!
