Default Revell Monster Quad thing

Anybody any ideas/opinions on Revells big quad just released recently?

Its like a 'Parrot' on steroids, same foam frame but with 6 motors and basic controls only, no cams or anything. Comes around £100 or just under.

Any good for those unable to splash two grand on this years fad?

This thing?

Transmitter is a WlToys one, so this is very definately "toy" class.
As the owner of several WlToys products they are cheap, effective fun so if this is anything like then it'll be ace

Thats pretty much it fella, a Hextraon apparently. But HEX is five shirley?

LHS does for under £100, dont know what the current position on spares.

I did have a look at that Bangoodsite that was linked and Im liking their DJI copy, now thats got the cameras and all the associated bells & whistles, but that goes up to £200.

Mind you I did suffer from a bout of deep nervous chill as I stumbled across their adult toys page....you have no idea how much my wife can impart with a spoon!

Alright Col!

One of the lads at the club spoke highly of the DJI Phantom and it looks fine, but I found an alternative in the Cheerson CX-320....maybe?

http://www.hobbywow.com/en-cheerson-...hz-p237755.htm

From what I can see by the comments on YouTube, theres not a lot of difference between them, other than the major price difference.
Does anyone else have anything to say on these, at those prices I wont have to flog so many of my other toys to get the drone.

I'm the wrong dude ask about DJI - I hate everything about them. Passionately.
I prefer to build my own stuff using control boards that I can fly, rather than DJI stuff that flys for you.
My take - if you want something expensive that will fly for you, looks nice and takes nice photo's then buy DJI (and hope it doesn't fly away)
If you want to fly it yourself then buy almost anything else (and build it yourself!)

I know what you mean Coll.

I spent a while on HK putting together frames/motors/boards etc best as I knew, only to be informed by 'our' quad flyers that it bwasnt worth the hassle and that DJI's were the best way forward. Thats still their suggestion today, but this other one gets some decent mentions on YouTube and in some cases better than a Phantom at almost half the price.

I was planning on flogging some of my ham radio gear to get my drone, only to be informed over Xmas dinner that one of my Bows was now sold, so that will put some cash in the Paypal too.
