horses for courses, schumacher cater for just about everyones taste new ,old ,leisure or serious race equipment
for the vintage guys, there following the trend of tamiya kyosho and AE with re- re after all there a business and if theres a market out there and people want it ands its viable cost wise make it and sell it

Selling toys is what enables Schumacher to make race cars. Without the profit from sales of "toys" you don't get the investment in race models. BTW for an awful lot of people the XLS and Topcat are the only models that that interest them. According to Schumacher the XLS had the highest number of preorders than any other Schumacher model.

It's a bit of nostalgia for me, but these were my first Schumacher cars back in the day, also these were my first competitive race cars as before it was the Tamiya Hotshot and Hornet

cant see on my phone, but I hope they kept the o ring front end that was such great fun.... LOL

still got my original topcat in dads loft, Demon motor, with blue speedmaster esc, damn those were the days
