F1 Chassis
What are the rules & regs for the F1 at the club? just i have a Tamiya F201 so wondered if i could use this if i can find enough spares to keep it going for a while longer or if i need to buy an F109, HPI F10 etc?

2wd chassis like those you mention but can't say I've seen the HPI 10 used at the club though. If you get the F109, F103/4 you should be OK for spares if your stuck on a nights racing.

Cheers Glen, to be honest if i turned up with a 6wd Tyyrell F1 i would be just as slow and be more like a moving chicane
So the HPI isn't a popular car at the club then shame as i was looking around at the different options for 2wd chassis and the HPI can be picked up new for less than £80 I was in talking to Paul at cleveland models a while ago about F1 at the club and he was selling the 3Racing F109 kits and i have noticed that 3Racing do a Sakura FGX F1 chassis add that to the Tamiys F1's and i don't know which to go for now |

F109 is most popular with a few Tamiya's kicking about. Quote:

Maybe wrong but is the new fgx f1 designed for rubber tyres ? As is the hpi f1?does your f201 also use rubber? I'm not saying anything is wrong with rubber but most people use the kit f109 tyres. I have tried a f104 but cannot get it to go as well as my f109, With a f109 you will never be short of spares at the club. The others you may struggle a little unless you have a good backup that you carry yourself |

Yeah the F201 came with rubber tyres but i was going to buy another F201 for spares that has a set of GRP foams fitted but they are the TC spec so don't have the extra width rears.
The other option is to get myself a cheap TT01 to use at the club. |

Now thats very nice i'm a sucker for carbon cars lol but at almost twice the price of an F109 seems a little expensive plus like you guys have said spares back-up could be a problem
