Default shock oil and pistons

Hi all

What shock oil are ppl using indoors?

A question regarding Tapered shock? Are people using them? If so which way up do they go?

Cheers

Some idea of what car you racing would help people give you the right information!

As for taper Pistons I'm not aware of many setups that use them these days

Try petit rc site for a setup for your car and try and find one similar to where you race and start from there and then experiment.

Think you mean progressive shock, mainly used on asphalt I think but not saying it won't work as it seems the setups are getting closer. Why are you choosing BD7? If others at your club use them fair enough if not go with the majority or an Xray. (Difficult to break, great spares back up if you do and a good forum to share setups and help others)
Anyway if your just starting out then forget the option parts the kits are all great out of the box only needing a couple of tyre, spring, roll bar and shock oil choices to suit all tracks. Slow is the new fast in TC by that I mean 17.5 is a great place to start, you may think it's slow but if everyone is in that boat then I think it improves your driving, learning how to carry corner speed and not brake!

I completely agree with that..I used the.club car which was an xray t3. Got on ok with it. I was going with the bd7 as I used to use them when I raced 15 years ago but I'm starting to look at more xrays.

I raced newbury friday

I was in the orange and white car off 3rd.
Only asked about the pistons as never really seen tappered ones and just wondered which way up they go
