Default Mardave V-Dub, parts? Still being made?

Hi,

I used to race in my teens at Model Week, Primrose Valley, Filey many years ago and had a Mardave V-Dub

Clearing my parent's loft out I found it.

It's worse for wear, had a bit of a bodge to be able to run 6 cells instead of the standard 4 and was never quite the same after a full speed crash into a kerb when interference made me loose control over it and I'm wondering about re-building it.

I've had a look on Mardave's site and can't figure if the V-Dub was still being made or parts availability / compatibility, I think a new chassis might not be the worst idea.

When I was last racing Mardave were just about to launch the Caterham!

Also wondering about going racing again...

You would be best contact Mardave direct, they are still pretty active in making, releasing and supporting old cars.

While the V-Dub has-been out of production for a long while, almost all parts are still available from Mardave. Just look at the V12 parts lists, the V-Dub chassis has morphed into the V12 Banger and V12 Caterham cars.

Kamtec has the body shell available, as well as a lot of the V-Dub parts used in their own cars as well.
