recommend a steering servo ?
Hi all
I've been recommended a savox (I've forgotten the model type recommended) and they look good for the money thinking around £50 is enough for my skill set. Anything else I should consider? Regards Steve. |

Forgot to add it's going in to a Schumacher kf if that makes any difference.

Moved away from Savox to Expert after seeing a few go down or develop loads of play.
Looking to replace it with Highest going forwards as they look the business! |

Savox 1258 or Spektrum S6040 both seem to fit the bill

Who sells them in the UK, I have had a few people recommend them to me now after I kept killing the Savox ones?

We stock the expert servo's which are great, but also consider the Absima range. The Absima servos have steel gears so are extremely robust. They are popular at Silverstone.

Xpert servos
This may be a first but we have stripped 2 xpert servos in one season
We have also stripped 1 savox servo but that lasted 2 seasons. LMAO Both are good servo's the Xpert is very strong and quick but also expensive, the 1258TG is the savox to buy if you go along the savox route, these are nearly half the price of the xpert as far as I know. Do not buy a low profile servo unless absolutely neccesary for your car layout See you at a track soon

update with the savox
I decided to replace my wheel controller and buy a stick model, sooooo I bought a core-rc code digital model of ebay (second hand), great thinks I finally saved a bit of money there......... nope...turns out the core-rc model and savox don't like each other. it works but the steering is jittery found this video on YouTube and the uploader informed me it was the core isn't compatible with the higher spec servos i have the same as this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4ILC849ILA live and learn |

Strange that - coz I've been running that exact same combination in 3 Cars (TM2, Durango DESC210, DEST210) for at least 3 years with absolutely no problem.....
Try a power capacitor in the receiver (ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Spektrum-V...gAAMXQlgtSqehY |
