Default Hobbywing brushless combo

Hi all

Not sure if this is in the right place but has anyone imported one of the above from Hong Kong and if so are they subject to any, Import duties, VAT, customs charges etc

Cheers

you can buy the speed controls and motors seperately in the uk from places like giantcod. my first one came from hong kong and i had no customs charges, if you are looking on ebay look for the low price and high postage charge ones, when compared they all work out around the same price, it is simply to get round import duty

hi
some of the hobbywing combo`s for sale in the uk are not covered by a warrenty, we sell them from our shop and have full support if you have a problem, something to think about, buying from abroad, there are not many times when you do not get caught for duty now

i have ordered alot of electrics from HK, never been hit by customs charges, i have had the odd package not show but paypal sorted that.

hobbywing gear is amazing for the price cant fault it,however it can be a little underpowered 5.5t is 5700kv i think where other brand would be over 6000kv,make sure what ever you buy has the program card, makes changing setting easy as pie, unlike the castle gear there is no need for a laptop to change settings.

Thanks for replies all,

Looked at X-treme and very little choice, giant cod looks OK but no combo deals, HK a lot cheaper too

I am after Hobbywing 3in1 Ezrun 9T RC brushless Motor + 35A ESC V2

Any HK suppliers i should avoid or any recommended ?

Thanks again

Follow the link in my sig .... cheap and the "official" HobbyWing importer (well at least the only contact HobbyWing sent me when I asked them who was the UK agent at that time).

Stuart is a top bloke and will look after you all

Default hobbywing

as previous threads

the hobbywing extreme stock 60amp is an awesome bit of kit for relatively little money these are sensored speedos (Ezruns are sensorless) they seem to match most sensored motors with ease (i m not sure motor limit though as i run 13.5t in TC its not a problem

stick with UK suppliers

racers in exile
extreme RC
giant cod

giant cod also showing 4000 2s lipos hard case for £21 (i have bought one to test may be a little diamond)

note no connection to any UK supplier

regards dave

Thumbs up

as long as its matched to your transmitter specs yes .

example 27mhz ,40 mhz, etc
make sure you have Am or FM matched gear
most trannys like own brand tx crystal but not so fussy on receiver
most 2.4 ghz sets seem to be brand specific ie futaba tranny will not "talk" to ko recivers Spektrum do modules to suit most high end brands

any more help please feel free to ask

Would the 1S ESC run a 2.5T tekin motor from a 2cell lipo in a 1/10 buggy?
