It does !! But its even better to drive

The cars feel very much like you would think a full sized Rallycross car does !!

Fast and wild

Could be a big class at Mendip ...

my first thought at seeing them last weekend was that its like largescale, but at a fraction of the cost, could buy 2 RX setups for the cost of 1 engine LOL

love the way they move about, and pitch under braking etc

really want to have a play, just trying to hold out for a used one to save some funds

Sounds ideal, there's plenty buggies around for a good price that could be converted.

Dan is in the process of converting a RB One buggy he bought new for peanuts, he's going to post up some pics of his progress with the conversion.

The BSR body posts and bumper look like they'll bolt on pretty easy .. parts available from Hobbyking ...

Cool thanks.
Just bought the rc8e
Has hobbywing ESC motor etc. Looks good and happy with price
Now to order bodyshell. Sort some mounts and get tyres.
That's +1 for next club round 😁

Good to hear you're getting sorted !!!

Re the lipo's .. there's no issue using softcase, we checked with BRCA and doesn't affect insurance or anything ..

There's a link at the beginning of the thread to the one's we've been using and they work well, there's also cheap Floureon lipo's on ebay which some have used and they seem fine, you don't need massive run time ... 3000 plus is all you need for our sprint races, although more mah = more punch

thought I share this, its slightly shorter wheelbase, Im hoping that I can just manipulate the arches LOL

from my research the WR8 is 300mm wheelbase

most the cars seem to be 320 330?

but for £18 quid I thought it worth a gamble

found the ken bloc one but at £40 I wasnt prepared to gable that much LOL

my shell should be here next couple of days, will see how it sits over the RC8e buggy Im converting, then its time to look at mounts, sticky back plastic, and washing up liquid bottles at the ready

As in previous posts the only decent shell that fits is the protoform, unless you import from the Italian sites mentioned... the ken block will not fit either
its suprising how you can make the same shell look different.. mine Dans and the one used in the link are the same shell

yeah should have read properly and checked LOL,

have ordered another shell now.

BSR basher shell on its way, will just do something to it to make it stand out from the rest, knowing me I be trying to control the wrong car LOL

plan is to cut down and stick a nice L plate on the roof LOL LOL

maybe on the chassis too, probably spend most time upside down
