Default £ for £

looking through the forums eg associated, kyosho, tamiya and so on, people ask for set up ideas and were to put weight etc, a nice section for people to upload pics of there pride and joy. but when you look at the durango section all you see is my car is leaking oil! ,i hit an ant with my front wheel and my bearings have been crushed! my drive pin/hex to the wheel is broke , or parts dont fit on assy. the problems are endless why would anybody spend all that money on a car like that! even the ansmann section has none of that lol,so what do people think is the best make/model for the money?

Its a tricky one Rob as everyone will have there own favorite, but i do agree with the Durango statement.Maybe a poll would of been better?

I don't think the problem is the Durango per se, just the sort of plonker that buys one........

(Us D4 owners don't ask for setup advice etc because our cars are shit whatever we do)

I do own one but I think £ for £ the B44 is the best car around. It is cheep strong easy to drive easy to maintain once you have a setup it works most places. I have said to Carl Latham if I won the lottery I would still race the B44 but with all the alloy bits and the balls and bearings sorted as I think it suits me to the ground. Would still buy all the other cars as shelf queens because they all look nice .

I would still run the B44 as I would be able to drive it faster. You would still coach me for free wouldnt you mate.

Must always side with Tamiya for quality. Last year my 501x hit the podium at bury whilst charging at full speed and just bounced off!! Infact I think the podium came of worse..

Hopefully I will be able to race it more outdoors this year, so I can justify a 511 later on as my Birthday treat.
