Control Tyre for Winter Series

Batley Buggy Club are pleased to announce that the rear control tyre for the Winter series is new Schumacher Mini Dart.

We have tested both front and rear versions of this tyre on the EOS carpet at MB raceway and have found it to be the perfect combination. Wear rate and grip are excellent.

Due to the closeness of this announcement to round 1, We will make it strict control tyre from round 2, and will allow either Mini pin or mini Dart rears for round 1 only. Mini darts are available for purchase at MB models now, and will be available in the shop on Sunday for the round 1 meeting. Front tyre choice is open. Strictly only one set of rear tyres allowed per round. All race tyres will be marked with anti-tamper stickers at the meeting. No tyre additive is allowed, and it's use will result in a ban.

We want to ensure that any competitive advantage from running new tyres every run is removed. It's simply not needed with the tyre choice we have selected. I hope this clarifies the control tyre rules.

Hope Michael has plenty of pre glued sets as they don't seem available elsewhere yet...
