I'm sure I've seen recently on here or the Internet a link to Michael Orlowski's set up for his K2 when he raced at the world's but can't quite remember where it was can anyone help?

If your looking at this on an iPad or something similar then yes, but on a PC you will see the info. Something to do with the version of Adobe used to create the document.
Can anyone tell me what the kit springs are? Mine should be with me on Tuesday but going by one of the setup sheets they were white front and black rears? Softest on the front and hardest on the rear, which would seem a bit odd and extreme. |

Does anyone got his kit allready?
If so, are there any special built tips? I was reading over on rctech, that you have to be carefull, when you built the ti rods and new ball studs, because the new ball studs are different in length! Mine should arrive tomorrow, or latest the day after and i'm looking forward to the built at the weekend. I do have one more question, i allways liked two hole pistons on my dex410 and i've ordered some for the k2 too, would it be good/better, to built the k2 with the kit standard pistons, or does have soemeone please a good starting shock setup for an indoor carpet track, with two hole pistons?

Hello,
Yes I built mine last night. Seems Schumacher made a few little errors with the instruction manual. Just be careful with the tie rods and pay attention to the ball stud lengths. Also the ball stud washers look very similar to standard washers. Make sure you have the correct ones to allow the ball stud to articulate correctly. The only other problem I found was the kit shock oil wasn't enough to fill all 4 shocks. I thought I would start with the 35wt kit oil. Space for electrics is very cramped if you want to keep the forward battery position available or use saddles. I built mine with the kit pistons so I can't help with that question. All the best with your build and enjoy! |

@Micholix
Michal Orlowski's Carpet setup is now available to download on Schumacher's website in the K2 setup sheets link if that's any help for a carpet start point? |

Thanks guys for that infos, i will take my time and i'm pritty excited to built this cat, as it is my first schumacher kit, that i built brand new...
I had a look at the setup sheets on the website, It looks like, i have to order some front and rear roll bar kits too, but for the first, i play with what i have. The shop, i orderd the kit from, didnt listed it before, but i'll order some spares anyway soon... How about the livetime of the belts? Do they hold up well, or should i stock some in my pit box? What i have or want is, arms, hinge pins(inner and outer), upper trans housings, front hub carrier and front blocks, did i forgot something? Mostly it is, what you have in the box, you dont need and what you need, you dont have...

There is an extra page with regards to the captured ball ends just follow that and you'll be fine.
Don't worry about the roll bars for now as they were mainly used for the EOS (according to Trish) Just bear in mind that the setups that are on there are for the EOS carpet when they were using mini pins on the front, with the wide cut staggers they didn't use the front roll bar.

Ok, then i've ordered the wrong front tires, as i will get the mini pins for the front... I've to look, if my LHS does stock wide front staggers, as these are not very common 4wd front tires here in austria, or i didnt see them!?

What battery position are people going for initially?
Are the parts to mount it down the left in the box? Cheers, Ian |

I'll run it with saddle packs, as i dont have shortys yet. The mounts to run a.shorty length wise, is an option part #U4779. Edit: i've got that info from mr. Chris Ashton, over in rctech: Shorty in line – maximum agility, less stability, good for technical tracks. Shorty transverse rear – maximum rear grip and stability Shorty transverse front – maximum steering, good stability Saddle – safe handling, more weight.
