monumentducklingswithmother.jpg

taken on a fishing trip during summer at the monument.
Fogot to mention only fairly new to photography so don't know all the do's and don'ts yet, i use a nikon d40 with the stock lense that it came with but i'd like to get a zoom lense so i'll be able to get closer images, for down at trackside really any advice guys? also any feedback on the d40 would be good aswell.

That is SMART!!!! that showtime, have you done some work on a photo editor to get the light and shadows so good?

nope that ones a jpeg straight out of the camera

i took a few in colour & suddenly thought "actually this would work a lot better in Black & White" so put my camera in P (basically auto) mode & selected dynamic B&W & click there you go

not bad for a compact
