RB6 Setup for bumpy astroturf / carpet

Hello! I am racing on a very rough carpet outdoor track which has incredible high grip. I am running the standard mid motor setup out of the box with following differences:

- front shocks 40wt and long ball ends (to have more negative travel)
- rear shocks 35 wt
- shorty battery as far back as possible (directly in front of the motor; esc and receiver on the side pods)
- 2° rear toe in to have better steering (with UMW705 RF suspension holder)
- no additional weight
- front tires: cut stagger low yellow
- rear tires: mini pin yellow

All in all the car is good but I have some serious problems:

In fast bumpy corners the car is "hooking". It seems to bite into the carpet . The balance is good (no over or under steering) but I want it to drive smoother through these corners. Sometimes the car breaks away when hitting a bump with high speed and is flying off the track...

We have some bigger bumps on the straight there the car is also extremely sensitive when driving with power and little steering motion over them.


What are your suggestions? Is it the rear toe in (2°) or the weight very far in the back of the car?

Hi,
when the track is grippy and bumpy, a heavy car is always easier to drive. Don't be afraid to try a 70 or 100g lead sheet under the lipo.

The electronics layout will be quite different though and weight distribution and overall weight is key to solving these sorts of issues with any car.
