Default Associated XP SC450-BL Brushless ESC - opinions

Does any-one have this ESC or know anything about it - is it good? Worth keeping? How old is it?

There's a link here http://www.modelsport.co.uk/index.ph...FUTkwgodbSMAbw

It seems quite expensive for a 45A ESC??

If I replace it with something like this for £30 would I regret it? http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s..._10th_ESC.html

I would check the motor to ensure its free running. You say the last time you used the car it was wet.... perhaps there is some corrosion inside the motor causing it to bind or reduce conductivity.
Unsensored brushless motors are often a bit for want of a better word "lumpy" at lower speeds
