They are pretty tight with the diff oil as well, when I got my KF it came with a bottle the same size as the kit shock oil and that only had to fill one diff.

I ended up using my own oil. I thought the bottle provided was going to be tight. I put 10,000cst in rather than the kit 12,500cst.

Can anyone clarify.. On the setup sheet for the camber link washers, are we including the 'ball stud washer' as 1mm or not?
Cheers. |

As you can΄t leave them out the ball stud washer is not counted as
camber link washer. Cruise

I think, this washer compensates the high of the hexagon on standard ball studs, so you start counting at the camber link washers, as Cruise sayed.

Assambling the k2 was a incomparable joy, i'm quit a bit sad, it didnt took longer!
Fit and finish is incredible and everything went together perfect! Nice too, that the shock protectors are comming with the kit allready! Two things i noticed at the assambling: I forgot to set the belt tensioner, the manual did not show when to set, or i missed that step!? It is a bit of a pain, to set, after the complete building, you cant reach the nut with an nut driver very well because of the battery post at the rear and the chassis brace and side pod at the front... One thing i noticed too was, as i instaled the steering servo, when you steer, or turn the servo horn up to the very front, there is some binding at the steering rack/arm(u4742) and the short socket(u4743), so the tires didnt turn fully to one side! I cut/grinded a litte bit off of the socket and the problem was solved... I do have one more question: Could someone please tell me, how tight the belts should be adjusted?

First time out today with the car on slippy wooden floor and carpet at York.
First impressions are very good. The car is certainly a step up from the K1

I ran shorty rear at the Off road Wars at the weekend and the car was really good. I had the FAB installed, 7.5 degree yokes, kit 35wt oil rear and Losi 37.5wt oil front using kit pistons and springs and all settings as per the manual. Car was very consistent.

Finished my build last night, all went well other than the 6 m3x16mm screws that hold the side pods on were missing

I ran mine on carpet last night, although I had to compromise on the rear tyres due to the track rules, the car felt really smooth, responded well to my setup changes whilst trying to reduce front end grip and had good rotation on a short and tight track. Really pleased with it Last edited by danmurphy; 02-12-2015 at 09:49 AM. |
