It gives me the feeling Kyosho is working - or will be working - on something new for the Worlds, and were in need of a driver that will make it two in a row for Kyoyo on Astro Either that, or Naoto had no faith whatsoever in the YZ-2... a very believable scenario

It bit early writing off a car that's just come out I think? He would've been World Champion if he stuck with Yokomo certainly in 4wd. The results are looking promising over here for new car and the car was developed at the track were the World's will be held at with very good reports.

Like most people in life he is driven by money. Kyosho are paying to race buggies which would be a lot then he scores again because Tamiya are lining his pockets just to race touring cars. That's not to mention the people paying him to run their electrics since he's not made to run Yokomo anymore.

Totally agree david, well said. If he really moved for performance over wages he would be driving schumacher cars
