A few of us run the Demon 4200 Lipos but we have the Diggity designs Lipo brace. They are quite expensive for what you get but work well with no mods to chassis.
AE do something aswell but they werent in stock when we wanted them.

Im not certainly on all of the LiPos which do fit the car, but I know the Checkpoint/Trackpower 4900's dont want to fit. Modifications are needed on those for sure. Jason runs the Reedy soft case 4800 Lipo Saddle locally without any issues.

Do you have to buy a lipo saddle tray upgrade? or do they just drop straight in (without the nimh trays installed)?
Cheers

The Demon/Vampire or Trakpower saddles won't get held in my the standard NiMh tray's, soft case packs that are a bit smaller might though. You can run without any tray's if you have to by putting velcro between the battery straps and the top of the LiPo, it's pretty secure without but with velcro they won't go anywhere

I use the Vampire and GM saddles (both hardcase).
I think the trays you can purchase are to expensive
so I cut myself some out of 2mm plastic.
But it was well with velcro too.

I just ran a LiPo (Trakpower 4900) in my BJ4 (non-WE) tonight for the first time - yes, it's designed for a stick pack, but not for batteries shaped like a brick. I just put some double sided mounting tape in between the strap and battery, then taped them together. When charging, I just lifted strap, battery and all out - the balancing port was accessible through a hole in the Associated aluminium strap I was using.

And yes, I did crash - plenty of times. Didn't budge.

This should work just as well for saddles - it might mean you need several battery straps if you have multiple batteries though...
