Default 410 V3 questions

Got mine built today and have a few queries.

The servo holder is in plastic and not alu like the 410

Servo/steering rack as well thats only got 2 holes, the third not necessary?

Another thing is that one of the spur holders are in plastic and not 2 alu ones like the 410 ( they are not the same height either so a spacer will have to be made)

Are people swapping over these things from the 410? Or are the seen to be fine in plastic?

Im going to do my splatter paint tomorrow and I have some sexy CF protection on the underside of the chassis.

Going to sell my 410 if anyones interested

The DEX410V3 is cheaper than the older car because they took out some of the things that weren't really needed - and made them optional so people can add them back in if needed.

Are they needed? As im thinking about selling the 410 with those bits and I don't want to have to buy them again later

I don't think they are needed, the aluminum spur mount will take some of the extra flex away which may make a difference. I haven't seen a setup sheet using the third hole on the steering rack. Finally the metal side pods definitely aren't a necessity.

If you do have spare cash I'd certainly recommend the D-Joints they quieten thing down a little and you don't take as much out of your lipos as they are way more efficient. An RW spur is a good buy too.

Ill look at those things thanks

I have the rs pro and 2 second party caps.
Its in my v3 on a tightish/med carpet track running 0 timing 85 current limiter and rest as standard.
The esc is coming off at around 80-90°C, nearly all lights blinking geared at 87/19 motor at about 60-70°C
Losi 6.5T motor no timing
What am I doing wrong? How do I get the temps down?

swap them ff the 410 before you sell it,

Personally i would keep it as spares. Whats the sense in selling all the alloy and keeping the plastic parts?

Tekin master Northy on here runs a small fan blowing onto the solder posts on his 410 - might be worth looking at his install, not sure if there's a photo up but I've copied his install in the past using a small 25mm fan.
Gearing sounds a little lower than I ran on exactly the same electrics - I think I was on 21 indoors but I guess it depends what your track is like.

Sorry "off"

Take the alloy off the 410, put it on your V3,
Then sell your 410 with the V3 plastic parts.

No brainer for me.

And I stripped 3 of the sway bar ends??? are they made or paper? damn I didn't even tighten them hard.
Is that a hardware failure? can I get replacements from TD

I was also a bit dissapointed in not getting a new box with V3 on it. Or the manual, it showed having shock boots. also tryung to get the drive pin protector on.. one of those split so left the other one off.

This is the track I have ran at

Has anyone broken the plastic servo holder? Or had problem with having the plastic servo holder instead of 2 alu ones?
