Smile new RCer looking to get into offroading

Hi all, my name is Mark, I live in Scarborough and am 32 yrs old. I am looking to get into offroad RCing. I would love to travel over to you guys to do some racing, are there any suggestions for a 540 class or something not too expensive to be able to use? I havent got anything yet, but am close to 2 hobby stores. Many thanks in advance, Mark.

Oooh... I wonder what the initial response was, that needed to be edited:

"I've heard about you, Mr Fong. You and your inappropriate trouser wearing. Be away with you before I summon a constable."

For 540 class, a B4 like Mr Fong's would be a great choice. Or maybe an Ansmann Mad Rat.

Why not come down on Saturday and have a chat to a few people? We're all very friendly.

My initial response was that I was looking what type/style of cars that I can buy from my local hobby shop, as in the ones that look like trucks, short course etc, but thinking about it, someone who has experience showing me something they have for sale would be very good

Just a quick continuation from the facebook discussion...

The number 5 bus does NOT got to or from York station - you'd have to walk a few hundred meters down the road to Monument Gardens/station avenue to get it.
