What direction may Durango head into next?
In the last year Durango has massively increased their lineup: They've got pretty much everything covered in 1/10 offroad racing: Bugs, Trucks, SCs, 2WD and 4WD, even RTR! They also got a decent 1/8 lineup going.
With the recent expansion, I see Durango doing much more in the future besides just updating their lineup. So... what do you think, expect, hope Durango is going to come up with in the future? Touring cars? Crawlers? Mini/Micro Scale? 1:1 Cars? Airplanes? |

I'd agree with Aran - they need to stick with the current platforms for a while. Durango aren't a huge company and the price of diversity is any one range gets less attention.
That said, they technically only make 3 chassis - the 210 series, 410 series and 408 series. The range are all variations on a single platform.

I see what you mean If I go by what I think is realistic, Durango will focus on development and updated releases of it's current cars for at least the next 12 months (even more so considering the Worlds are again next year).
From there... they'll probably have a look where there is room to do progressive stuff on competition cars (like there was with 2WD and 4WD). I find touring cars fitting to their statement 'Serious About Racing,' but I'm not sure whether a very different design would 'work' (in that market) - and I don't see Durango putting a car into production that's just the same as anybody else's. Still though, I think Durango's next new market would be something onroad... |

there is a current shift away from TC back to off-road and other platforms. I would say they will likely stick to off-road, develop the already good cars ready for the worlds. Mini/Micro wouldnt go amiss as i think thats the only OR platform they are missing.
Crawler perhaps, but again its a shift from their 'pattern' of cars so would need resource etc. Either way Durango is a name that is going to be around.....for some time ! |

I think Durango will develop a DNX408 Mk 3 as raced successfully by Lutz recently.
Possibly an update to the DEX410 and other platforms? They are part of a much bigger company now so anything is possible although I for one would be surprised if they release TC's. |
