Exclamation BRCA Micro Section EGM, 10th April 2010

The BRCA Micro Section has called its EGM/ Section Conference in order to ratify the rules, select a working committee and decide on its future events.
The EGM/Section Conference is to be held at the Premier Travel Inn at Hockley Heath which is situated on the A3400 (Birmingham to Stratford-upon-Avon road), 2 miles South of Jct4 of the M42. The meeting is due to start at 12:30pm on Saturday 10th April 2010 with the aim to finish by 6.30pm.
To submit a rule change proposal please complete the ‘Rule Change Proposal Form’ and follow the instructions on that form. As proposer you must attend the EGM/Section Conference. If you do not attend the EGM/Section Conference your proposals will not be heard.
To be eligible to vote at the EGM/Section Conference you must present your valid BRCA card at the meeting.

This year along with the already existing posts, there will be three new posts; Entry’s Officer, Time Keeper and Chief Scrutineer.
There are also two vacant positions; our current Secretary Ben Clifton has decided not to stand again for his position as has our Webmaster John Timberlake.
For further information on the roles and responsibilities of each position and to apply please see the ‘Committee Nomination Form’.

For clubs wishing to host a round of the Micro National Series for 2010/11 the application process is slightly different. The ‘Application to Host a National’ form will be released to the public on Monday 12th April 2010. The dates will be decided at the EGM, however the host club for each event will be decided by the Committee after the EGM. Event applications will close 4 weeks after the EGM and the clubs hosting a round of the National Series will be announced by the Committee on Wednesday 12th of May 2010.
This is to ensure that all of our venues are suitable and that they can meet all of the 2010/11 rules and regulations.

All clubs are asked to include details of the track area, including track area/hall size, and pitting area size should it not be track side.
New clubs applying for a BRCA Micro National will need to submit a portfolio showing that they can meet the criteria for the 2010/11 BRCA Micro National Series. This should include photos of the venue and of previously run tracks, details of the venues parking facilities, a brief history of the club and its experience along with any further information that the clubs thinks is relevant.

BRCA Micro Section 2010/11 Rule Change Proposal Form: Download PDF / Download Word Doc

Basic Points to Note
Meeting starts at 12:30pm on Saturday 10th April 2010.
All rule proposers must attend the EGM for their proposals to be heard.
All attendees must have their valid BRCA card with them on the day. No card = no entry.
Club Application form will be released AFTER the EGM.
There will be three new positions availiable: Time Keeper; Chief Scrutineer and Entries Officer.
All information will be posted on www.brcamicro.org

I look forwards to seeing you all at the EGM. Remember, the EGM is your time to have your say so please try and get any many of your fellow micro racing club members to attend!

Default meet

Did Stu not have the space in his pub? Might have been nice to have the meet at a mate's place in a more relaxed atmosphere.

Can I just say that the Committee really need to fill the roles of Time Keeper and Chief Scrutineer for the upcoming 2010-11 Season and beyond.

We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and strong minded non-racers to volunteer their time (as all the Committee members do) so that the Section can continue to grow.

The positions require someone to perform tasks throughout the duration of the race meetings, hence us prefering someone who isnt a racer, however all applicants must be up-to-date current members of the BRCA.

If anyone has any questions regarding either of the positions then please feel to email me. You can find my contact details on the BRCAMicro website

Regards

Cris

Bump, again!

I have also heard of afew VERY interesting potential applications from certain clubs to host a National next Season.

If the two clubs actually come through and apply after the EGM once the application form is released then then 2010/11 Season could prove to be the best on record!

As for the EGM, proposals are coming in nicely, and the room is set to be full to the brim come the 10th April

The season so far has been incredible, the tracks and venues definitely a step up from last year and the racing has improved so much. Looking forward to the EGM as well to represent my proposals and then rock on next season! I recon we want to dump this winter idea and just run 12 rounds, 1 a month round the calendar! Or if we do 2 a month we can get 24 meetings in

I'd come, but I start a new job this week, and need to be back in Stafford for 6pm, so would most likely have to leave as soon as I got there based on the traffic on the motorways yesterday.

Sorry Offtopic!

Can we change the BRCA Micro banner?
Looks a bit toyish, we don't actually race Mini-T's with Beetle shells :P

Mind if I make something?
Whats MSA aswell?! lol
