Has anybody actually run the car yet? What do you all think in comparison with the original KF?

Any setup ideas?

Chris

Chris,

I've run my car twice now and I'm very pleased with it. My KF never had the alloy LG chassis fitted so It's a little difficult for me to do the compare but running against people of similar ability with std KF's I do seem to have gained pace.
Steve Brown ran his at Torch on Sunday and was very quick, he also felt the car had more speed.

At present I'm running a very similar setup.

Hope this info helps!
James.

Rear shocks are kit, 3 hole pistons, 30wt oil, red spring and plastic shock bottoms.

I've brought the conversion kit to mount the shocks on the rear.

20mm ride height ????

What am I doing wrong?

I think the Core springs which are included in the KF2 kit are longer than the original Schumacher springs.

If you need RH lower than 20mm I think you need, Schumacher springs or alloy spring cups or K1 rear tower.

James.

Finally finished mine now puck drive system arrived.
Couple of things the quality of the build is excellent as you would expect.
Some small niggling issues though. Having to dremel the sidepod so can gain access to the shorty lipo come on schumacher do a proper one and with all the nice black parts why the grey ball cups could have been black lol.
I'm looking forward to giving the car a run this weekend

Sounds to me like you're building them with too much rebound (too much oil). If you compress the shaft with the spring off and let go, how far does the shaft come back down?

Guys, not sure if I'm being a complete tool, but that rubber o ring on the hex, is it supposed to go inbetween the hex and hub or to go on the actual hex to hold the pin in?

Cheers!

Hi guys.

I want to chuck some spare front wishbones in the box, question is do I go for kit or the med flex ones? It's indoor on astro if that's relevant.

Cheers!

Is it silverstone you will be racing at, if so I would say the kit arms are fine.

Std wishbones are fine for TCRCC, are you going to the next winter series date? If so pop over and say hello and we can talk through any questions you have.
Regards,
James.
