Default Advice on purchase

Newbie here, so take it easy

I cant decide between the MR4-BX and the JC World Ed. Mainly for messing around but maybe racing too if I can find a local club. I'm going to fit brushless system if that makes any difference.

Help me decide pleeease!

JC be my choice. The diff on the BX isn't up to constant bashing, and requires regular rebuilds.

Bugger, too late. I just bought a BJ.
Has anyone any reccomendations for a brushless system, I have looked at Mtroniks in the UK, they seem OK has anyone got one of these systems?

just don't go for the low spec LRP speedo, this has a tendancy to thermal cut out in 4wd cars. the competition spec one is very good though.

I think that the Jconcepts is much popular than the Yokomo, so you can get a lot more help and advice with it. Both cars seems quite similar so may be the point is: Shaft or belt? What do you preffer?

I've owned both and for me the main difference is the yokomo needs a bit more looking after / cleaning, also the spares are more expensive. If I had the money I would happily buy a Yokomo but I do like the more sealed-up nature of the shaft drive cars.

I have the Nosram Matrix Evo (same as LRP Sphere Comp) with a Novak 6.5 motor and its pleanty fast in my BJ4.

I had the GTB but it fried one of the phase fets so wouldnt run the brushless motor anymore (still runs brushed motors fine though!!!), wasnt covered under warranty so i got the Nosram . SO far no complaints and seems to run quite cool with just one fan blowing across it.

The Castle Creations Mamba Max looks good and i've seen it on the 'bay at a good price. It's even programmable with a pc..!
